The staff are extremely friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. Dining at the Gulf Restaurant was very expensive, but the food was worth it - to die for, so it may work out less expensive if you plan to eat there, prebook a dining package.

Lounge a bit cold in the evening.

Simply breathtaking scenery. The most beautiful and peaceful stretch of beach anywhere!

The afternoon tea in the guest lounge was expensive.

We were lucky enough to get a free upgrade to a suite! We only stayed one night, but between the pool, the spa, the food, the beach, the whole atmosphere, we felt refreshed and recharged after only that one night! We will definitely be staying at the Lodge and Spa again, but maybe for a few more days next time.

We had a fantastic time from the moment we arrived. I really didn't want to go home. The staff, especially Mary T, can't do enough for you and are always so friendly and welcoming. All the facilities are great and to be able to get up in the morning and go for a walk before going to the restaurant for a lovely breakfast - what more could you want. For someone that also has food allergies, the hotel can't do enough for you and cater for this as well. I would reccomend this hotel to anyone.

The service above and beyond the call of duty, that was given by the wedding planner, Amy.We thoroughly enjoyed all that was done for our son and daughter in law's wedding, as it was arranged from a distance, apart from the significant local input by the bride's mother.

Friendly atmosphere, top quality facilities, amazing location. Staff were really focused on customer care and the guest experience.

Very practical and friendly.. Facilities were excellent. People had time for you. We were upgraded to a suite on arrival which was great.

Reception got things wrong. We had people coming to our suite when in fact they were due to go to a different one. In compensation a a bottle of champagne was supposed to be delivered to our suite but did not arrive. The time for our dinner booking was not taken correctly on one evening. Dinner menu was good but expensive.

The location is wonderful!Facilities and rooms are lovely. Staff very helpful and we were upgraded to a junior suite on arrival!

No! Perhaps a bit pricey though in present economic climate.

Reception on arrival, friendliness of staff, Irish Mist !!, and treatment in Spa,especially from Vera Jane.

Not complaints just comments. Oranges in room dried up,dinner menu almost the same each night, and no toilet brush in bathroom

The setting of this hotel is absolutely fantastic, however this comes second in my mind to the superb spa facilities at Inchydoney - the seawater pool with it's multitude of different massage jets puts Inchydoney in a league of it's own. The treatments are also fantastic.

Loved the location overlooking 2 fabulous beaches. The lobby/reception area is absoulutely gorgeous very plush and luxurious with extremely comfortable settee's and gas fire lit all the time. Bedrooms are lovely and beds very comfortable with very modern plush decor and furnishings. Balconies have a great view of the beaches. Dinning room for breakfast and the food selection is extremely good, also the dinning room staff couldnt be topped, 10 out of 10 to them. The location of the bar is good especially on a nice day to sit outside for lunch or a coffee and look out to the beach. Good bar menu and food. Generally the staff were faultless and attentive. Overall very plush, comfortable, relaxing hotel in a great location if you like the beach.

Didnt like the balcony furniture a bit sparse could do with a small table on it. Didnt like the fact that the hotel doesnt supply hand towels, only uses bath towels which are a bit big to dry your hands or face and seems very un economical. Residents lounge is a bit too big and impersonal and very cold with strong air conditioning. The standard in the Spa I personally found to be average and I would have expected better. Also the bar stops serving food at 9pm which I found ato be inconvienent as there is no where else to eat near by, it would be better if food was served until about 10pm

Great location, friendly approach, good spa, exceptional good food (had a very bad meal there about 8 years ago)

Level of waiting staff is too high - they are falling over each other, loosing concentration at times - a leaner more focused team would do better.

The salt water swimming pool was very relaxing and rejuvenating. The spa/pool area was very well maintained. The staff in general were very friendly and helpful.

The decor throughout could do with being upgraded to a more modern look. The carpet throughout the hotel is a bit outdated and dull. The large relaxation lounge is very outdated and because of it's vast space has lots of potential for a more modern look with better use of space. The smaller reading room is very dull and outdated! Food was very pricey in Dunes bar! Fish in particular is over priced compared to other restaurants.
